Chelan County Coroner Wayne Harris has indicated that the cause, manner, and time of death for Travis Decker may remain undetermined. Harris explained that only minimal skeletal remains were recovered, and the passage of time has left "nothing to autopsy." The examination was conducted by a forensic anthropologist.
Decker, 32, was the primary suspect in the suffocation deaths of his three daughters—Paityn, 9; Evelyn, 8; and Olivia, 5—whose bodies were discovered near a campsite in the Cascade Mountains on June 2. Following the incident, Decker disappeared, prompting a months-long manhunt. His remains were found less than a mile from where his daughters were located. DNA testing confirmed his identity. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
