Zach Cregger's 'Resident Evil' Now Available for Digital Purchase and Rental
The 2024 horror film starring Austin Abrams has been released for digital download and rental following its worldwide box-office success.
Zach Cregger's reimagining of the "Resident Evil" franchise, which earned more than $400 million globally, is now available for digital download and rental. The film, released in September, follows a young medical courier played by Austin Abrams as he attempts to complete a final delivery on a snowy night while a nearby laboratory containment breach releases dangerous creatures.
Cregger aimed to align the movie with the experience of playing the video game series, emphasizing a gradual escalation of threats and the acquisition of weapons and items. The approach has resulted in the highest-grossing entry in the "Resident Evil" film series.
Fandango has posted the opening minutes of the movie online as a preview for viewers interested in revisiting the film or seeing it for the first time.
