Congress leader Rahul Gandhi renewed his call for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to face him in a public debate on key national issues, saying the government should answer within 24 hours.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi again invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a public debate on a range of national and bilateral issues, saying 24 hours had passed since his initial challenge. In a post on X, Gandhi appealed directly to the youth of India and asked whether they wanted to see a debate between the two leaders, pressing the prime minister to choose a venue and a moderator. He proposed that the discussion take place in front of the media and young people, and said RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat could act as judge if Modi preferred. Gandhi also pointed to the defamation cases filed against him and challenged the prime minister to take legal action over allegations of foreign connections. The Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha said the debate would give both sides a chance to confront accusations openly and clarify their positions before the public.
