Trump and Musk Reunite at Charlie Kirk Memorial After Public Feud
President Donald Trump and Elon Musk were seen together at Charlie Kirk's memorial service, marking their first public appearance since their earlier dispute.
President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk appeared together at the memorial service for conservative activist Charlie Kirk, held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. This marked their first public interaction since a notable falling-out earlier this year. The two were observed sitting side by side, engaging in conversation, and exchanging a handshake during the event.
Their previous discord stemmed from Musk's criticism of Trump's legislative initiative, the "One Big Beautiful Bill," which Musk labeled as "utterly insane and destructive." In response, Trump threatened to review federal contracts with Musk's companies.
At the memorial, Musk posted a photo on his social media platform X, captioned "For Charlie," indicating a gesture of reconciliation.
When asked about the interaction, Trump commented, "Well, Elon came over and said hello. I thought it was nice that he came over. Had a little conversation. We had a good relationship, but it was nice that he came over."
The memorial service honored Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, who was fatally shot on September 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University. The event drew over 63,000 attendees and featured prominent figures, including Vice President JD Vance.
