Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love exits game with new ankle injury

Resumen

Jeremiyah Love left Sunday’s game after sustaining a new ankle injury, while teammate Tyler Allgeier posted 147 rushing yards.

Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love was forced to leave Sunday’s matchup after injuring his ankle near the end of the first half. The injury was described by head coach Mike LaFleur as a new issue, not a recurrence of the problem that kept Love out of the previous two games.

"This is new," LaFleur said at his press conference.

Love had recorded nine carries for 23 yards before exiting. LaFleur indicated that further details on the injury’s severity and Love’s future availability would be provided on Wednesday. The Cardinals also dealt with a concussion to Bam Knight during the game, but Tyler Allgeier stepped in as the primary back, rushing for 147 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.
