Tovah Feldshuh denies on-set tension amid Adam Brody's Gaza comments
Actress Tovah Feldshuh said there is no conflict on the set of Netflix's "Nobody Wants This" despite Adam Brody's public support for a free Palestine and creator Erin Foster's disagreement with his remarks.
Actress Tovah Feldshuh, who plays Bina Roklov on Netflix’s romantic comedy series "Nobody Wants This," posted on Threads that there is no tension among the cast. She wrote, "Tensions are NOT RISING. Profound differences of opinion are. Please do not conflate the two — And none of it will be brought to the set," and added that she enjoys filming the series and hopes it will be renewed for a fourth season.
The comments come after lead actor Adam Brody said he supports a free Palestine and described Israel’s actions in Gaza as genocide. In a September interview with GQ, Brody said, "Put me down as thinking it’s a genocide. Put me down as wanting a free Palestine," and expressed hope that a future administration could change policies he views as harmful.
Show creator Erin Foster later said she disagrees with Brody’s view but emphasized that differing opinions are normal on set, describing the workplace as “similar to dinner tables around the world, where people are having debate and discussion and disagreeing.” She also called the series a “love letter to Judaism” and highlighted the importance of positive Jewish representation.
Feldshuh previously criticized Brody’s statements, describing the accusation of genocide as extreme. However, she clarified that personal disagreements have not affected the production environment.
