Honda Cars India posts 19% YoY domestic sales rise in October 2026

Summary

Honda Cars India sold 7,609 vehicles domestically in October 2026, a 19% year-on-year increase, while total sales fell due to a sharp drop in exports.

Honda Cars India reported total sales of 8,082 units in October 2026, comprising 7,609 vehicles sold in the domestic market and 473 units exported. Domestic sales rose 19% year-on-year to 7,609 units, up from 6,394 in October 2025, and surged 70.41% month-on-month from September’s 4,465 units. The domestic market accounted for about 94% of the company’s October sales.

"Robust festive demand and positive sentiment across the model range supported October’s performance," said Kunal Behl, Vice President of Marketing & Sales at Honda Cars India. He added that the newly launched Elevate model was a key driver of the month’s sales momentum.

Exports fell sharply, with 473 vehicles shipped abroad in October 2026, down 88.5% from 4,124 units a year earlier and 81% lower than September’s 2,490 units. The export decline outweighed the domestic growth, causing total sales to drop 23.2% year-on-year to 8,082 units, though month-on-month volumes increased 16.2%.

Honda also announced plans for a new made-in-India electric SUV, based on the 0 Alpha platform, slated for a global debut on December 2, 2026. The model is intended for both domestic and export markets and aims to expand the company’s presence in the electric-vehicle segment.
