Three additional women allege past abuse by NFL player Josh Jacobs after his May arrest

Summary

Police records released by the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department show that three women reported separate incidents of alleged violence by running back Josh Jacobs following his May domestic-violence arrest.

Police files obtained by NBC 26 in Green Bay indicate that, while investigators were reviewing the May domestic-violence case involving NFL running back Josh Jacobs, at least three other women came forward with similar allegations.

One woman contacted authorities in June, saying she had been slapped, had her hair grabbed, was thrown onto a bed and the floor, was spat on, and had her throat seized in January 2022. She added that Jacobs seized her phone when she tried to leave.

A second woman reported that in April 2021 Jacobs grabbed her arms, pushed her against a wall near a window and threw her belongings outside, resulting in bruised arms and rib pain. Police records show the incident had been reported to a different jurisdiction, but no arrest was made because no visible injuries were observed.

A third woman told police in July that in May 2022 Jacobs placed his hands on her head and neck, dragged her, scratched her chest and took her phone, leaving bruises on her arm and scratches on her chest. She said she did not report the episode at the time because Jacobs threatened her with deportation if she involved law enforcement.

Jacobs later pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery and criminal damage related to the May case. The NFL placed him on paid leave for the first six games of the season and allowed him to return in Week 7, though he remains subject to possible league discipline under its personal-conduct policy, which could consider the new accusations.
