Seahawks coach says Jadarian Price could return by Week 8
Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said it is realistic for rookie running back Jadarian Price to be back for the Week 8 game against the Chicago Bears.
Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald told reporters that it is realistic for rookie running back Jadarian Price, who is on the chest/IR list, to return to action for the Week 8 matchup against the Chicago Bears. Price participated in a limited practice session on Thursday, while teammate Zach Charbonnet completed a full practice, suggesting the backfield could be near full strength for the stretch run.
If Price is cleared to play, it would likely end Emmanuel Wilson’s short-term role as the team’s second-string running back. The Seahawks also have George Holani and Wilson available to split carries if the backfield remains unsettled.
Price’s chest injury, which was aggravated during Wednesday’s practice, required him to miss at least four games. He has already missed the minimum four-game period and has been designated to return, allowing him to be activated sooner rather than later.
Charbonnet, who is recovering from a knee injury, is also expected to resume practicing and could be ready for the season debut in the coming weeks. The coaching staff will assess the health of both backs before finalizing the depth chart for the upcoming games.
