President Donald Trump's scheduled rally in Salina, Kansas, set for Oct. 31, was cancelled without explanation, ending a second planned visit to the state this month.
President Donald Trump’s planned rally at the Salina Regional Airport on Saturday, Oct. 31, has been cancelled, the airport authority confirmed to KMBC 9 News on Thursday. > "The Trump Administration has canceled all Kansas events for Saturday," a spokesperson for the Salina Regional Airport Authority said. No reason for the cancellation was provided.
The event would have been the president’s second trip to Kansas in less than two weeks, following a rally in the Wichita area on Oct. 19 that supported Republican Sen. Roger Marshall’s campaign for the U.S. Senate. Marshall is currently facing a competitive race against Democrat Adam Hamilton, drawing national attention to the traditionally Republican-leaning state.
