The incident occurred around 2:10 p.m. as officers attempted to serve a warrant at a farmhouse along Haar Road, approximately 115 miles west of Philadelphia. Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Christopher Paris stated that the officers were acting on an investigation initiated the previous day.
The two surviving officers were transported to WellSpan York Hospital and are reported to be in critical but stable condition.
Governor Josh Shapiro addressed the tragedy, emphasizing the need for societal improvement to prevent such incidents.
