Meghan Markle to Appear as Guest on Junior MasterChef Australia in 2027
Meghan Markle will serve as a special guest on the revived Junior MasterChef Australia series slated for 2027, while she and her family have temporarily left the United Kingdom amid a police investigation involving her father.
Meghan Markle is set to join the upcoming season of Junior MasterChef Australia as a special guest alongside host Poh Ling Yeow when the program returns in 2027 after a six-year hiatus. Markle said she looks forward to watching the young contestants and enjoys cooking with her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Host Poh Ling Yeow described the filming experience with Markle in April as enjoyable and expressed anticipation for meeting the junior participants.
The appearance follows Markle’s recent television work, including the Netflix series "With Love, Meghan," which was cancelled after two seasons and a holiday special, and the termination of her As Ever lifestyle brand partnership earlier this year.
According to Australian media reports, filming is expected to take place in Australia in early to mid-2027, and Markle may travel with her children for the shoot.
In the same period, Markle, her husband Prince Harry, and their children left the United Kingdom. The departure coincided with a police investigation in the Philippines concerning alleged child sexual abuse material found at the home of Markle’s father, Thomas Markle. Markle issued a statement saying she was distressed by the allegations and emphasized that her decision to limit contact with her father was made to protect her children.
London’s Metropolitan Police confirmed that Markle had received a letter containing allegations against her father in early 2019, though her representative noted a possible discrepancy in the timing of her recollection.
