Summary

Roc Nation and the NFL confirmed that Jay-Z will perform at the Super Bowl LXI halftime show at SoFi Stadium, marking his first appearance in the role.

Roc Nation, the entertainment company founded by the rapper, confirmed that Jay-Z will headline the halftime show for Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The announcement was made by Apple Music during the Monday Night Football broadcast featuring the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles.

"From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, this has been a journey," Jay-Z said in a statement. "Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world's biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true."

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell also issued a statement, noting the league's ongoing partnership with Roc Nation.

"For several years, we've had the privilege of working closely with Jay-Z and Roc Nation, and I've seen the impact he has had on the Super Bowl Halftime Show," Goodell said. "When we first reached an agreement with Roc Nation to produce the show, I had just one request: that Jay-Z take the stage himself one day, whenever the moment felt right to him. I couldn't be more excited for fans around the world to experience the artistry, creativity and cultural impact he will bring to the Super Bowl stage."

The NFL's collaboration with Roc Nation began in August 2019, and previous halftime performers have included Shakira and Jennifer Lopez (2020), The Weeknd (2021), Dr. Dre and collaborators (2022), Rihanna (2023), Usher (2024), Kendrick Lamar with SZA (2025) and Bad Bunny with Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin (2026). Jay-Z's upcoming performance follows his recent "Jay-Z 30" tour dates at SoFi Stadium and sold-out shows at Yankee Stadium.
