Actress Tovah Feldshuh attacked Adam Brody’s call for a free Palestine, dismissing genocide accusations as extreme rhetoric while insisting Israel remains essential to the democratic and free world.
Actress Tovah Feldshuh, who appears in the Netflix series "Nobody Wants This," reacted sharply to Adam Brody’s recent remarks in support of a free Palestine. Feldshuh told the New York Post that framing Jewish people as perpetrators of genocide is "wild" and compared such claims to "Hitler’s playbook," arguing that when Jews make accusations like this against their own people, it harms the broader Jewish community.
She stressed what she sees as Israel’s strategic importance, saying that "the perseverance of the existence of the state of Israel is crucial to the well-being of the democratic world and of the free world" and that the United States and Israel depend on one another. Her comments cast Israel as a pillar of the Western order and reject the language used by critics of its policies.
Feldshuh also described the current climate as a "horseshoe effect" in which socialism and antisemitism meet. In her role as Bina Roklov, she said her priority on set is simply to treat colleagues kindly. Series creator Erin Foster also commented, saying on a podcast that while she disagrees with Brody’s position, she respects his right to hold it, and compared workplace disagreements to the kinds of debates people have at dinner tables around the world.
