Authorities have identified the decomposed body discovered in a Tesla registered to singer D4vd as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, who was reported missing from Lake Elsinore, California, in April 2024. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the identification but has deferred the cause of death pending further investigation.

Rivas's remains were found on September 8 at a Hollywood tow yard after employees reported a foul odor emanating from the vehicle. The Tesla had been impounded after being abandoned in the Hollywood Hills for several days. The body was located in the front trunk, also known as the 'frunk,' wrapped in a bag.

The vehicle is registered to 20-year-old singer-songwriter David Anthony Burke, known professionally as D4vd. Burke was on tour at the time of the discovery and is reportedly cooperating with authorities. A representative for the singer stated, "D4vd has been informed about what's happened. And, although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities."

Rivas was last seen on April 5, 2024, and was reported missing to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office. She was described as having wavy black hair, standing 5 feet 2 inches tall, and weighing 71 pounds. At the time of discovery, she was wearing a tube top, black leggings, a yellow metal bracelet, and metal stud earrings. A notable tattoo on her right index finger read "Shhh..."

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to determine the circumstances surrounding Rivas's death and how her body ended up in the vehicle. No charges have been filed at this time.
