Nicki Minaj Reaffirms Support for President Trump at Michigan Rally

Resumen

Rapper Nicki Minaj told a crowd in Port Huron she will continue backing President Donald Trump and urged voters to support Republican Senate and gubernatorial candidates in the upcoming midterms.

Rapper Nicki Minaj appeared onstage at a Republican campaign rally in Port Huron, Michigan, where President Donald Trump was promoting Senate candidate Mike Rogers and gubernatorial candidate John James. Minaj said, "President Trump, it is an honor to stand with you every single time. I will continue to support you forever and ever. If you run again, I will support you again." Trump, who is serving his second term, reminded the audience that the Constitution bars a third presidential term.

Minaj, a Grammy-nominated artist, also highlighted her recent role as a celebrity judge for the Small Business Administration’s Million Dollar Pitch Competition, noting that she is "honored to be working with this president. He represents resilience" and that his return has "changed the energy of our country" and offered "a brighter future for us and our children." She called the upcoming midterm elections a "major turning point for our country" and urged voters to elect Republican candidates.

Addressing transgender-related issues, Minaj said, "We don't want our children to be bombarded with sex changes, right? We don't want that for our children. We want people to leave the children alone. Leave them out of it."

President Trump introduced Minaj as the "queen of rap" and joked, "I don't like being overshadowed. And this woman overshadows me, and I'm angry about it," before adding, "They're going crazy over her." After her remarks, Trump praised her, stating, "You see why everybody likes Nicki. She is a very, very special person. She gets it."

White House communications director Steven Cheung later posted on X that Minaj might become the next White House press secretary.
