Nathan Fielder's Elizabeth Holmes Documentary Includes Graphic Nude Scene

Summary

The documentary "You Can See Everything" received an R rating after a full-frontal nudity sequence featuring Holmes' fiancé, Billy Evans, was included during filming.

Nathan Fielder's three-hour documentary about former Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes, titled "You Can See Everything," has been rated R for graphic nudity. The rating is linked to a scene that shows Holmes' fiancé, Billy Evans, showering naked after a gym workout. Co-director Lance Oppenheim explained that the crew spent more than a month with Holmes and her family in 2023, filming up to 16 hours a day and capturing a wide range of personal moments, though they avoided recording privileged legal calls.

"You get to their house, and her computer’s open. All of her emails are open. Her journal is open on the side of the couch," Oppenheim told Vulture.

During a gym visit, Oppenheim asked Evans about his plans after the workout; Evans responded that he would shower and, before a more modest alternative could be arranged, stripped for the cameras.

"It seems like he really had something he wanted to show to us and to the world," Oppenheim said of the incident.

The inclusion of the nudity sparked online speculation about who would appear in the explicit footage, though Fielder said he has not closely followed those theories.
