Apple installs oversized iPhone Duo displays in flagship stores worldwide
Apple has placed large promotional iPhone Duo displays at its flagship stores in New York, London, Mumbai and Shanghai ahead of the device's launch on Friday.
Apple has installed oversized iPhone Duo promotional displays at four of its flagship locations – Apple Fifth Avenue in New York City, Apple Covent Garden in London, Apple BKC in Mumbai, and Apple Jing'an in Shanghai – to mark the device’s launch on Friday.
The installations, which feature mirrored finishes and illuminated edges, were first noticed while still covered. Apple CEO John Ternus later posted a photo of the Shanghai display on his Weibo account, showing the device displayed in several orientations that Apple describes as "poses."
Ternus is expected to attend the launch event at Apple Fifth Avenue. Apple indicated that its stores in the United States and selected international locations will offer a limited number of iPhone Duo units for walk-in customers on launch day.
