Original Glee Stars Heather Morris and Chord Overstreet in Talks to Rejoin Series Reboot

Summary

Heather Morris and Chord Overstreet are reportedly negotiating to return to the Disney+/Hulu Glee reboot, joining other original cast members in talks.

Two original members of the "Glee" ensemble are in negotiations to appear in the upcoming Disney+/Hulu reboot, according to sources. Heather Morris, who played Brittany, and Chord Overstreet, who portrayed Sam Evans, have confirmed discussions about reprising their roles.

The reboot, ordered earlier this week by Disney+ and Hulu, will revisit William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio, where the original series followed the New Directions glee club. Lea Michele has also been reported to be in talks to return as Rachel Berry.

Co-creator Ryan Murphy previously said he had contacted around ten former cast members about the project, though no official casting announcements have been made. The series will be produced by 20th Television, the original show's production company.

The original "Glee," which aired on Fox from 2009 to 2015, earned six Emmy Awards during its six-season run and remains available for streaming on Hulu.
