Julia Stiles Receives Permission from Michelle Williams for Heath Ledger Tribute on Dancing With the Stars
Julia Stiles performed a tribute to Heath Ledger on Dancing With the Stars after obtaining approval from Michelle Williams, while co-star David Krumholtz explained his absence due to filming commitments.
Julia Stiles appeared on this week’s episode of Dancing With the Stars with the cast of 10 Things I Hate About You to honor late actor Heath Ledger. She said she sought permission from Ledger’s former partner, actress Michelle Williams, before the performance. > "I did ask Michelle if this was okay, and she said ‘yes,’" Stiles told Extra. When asked about the family’s possible reaction, Stiles said she did not want to speak for them.
Co-star David Krumholtz, who played Michael in the 1999 film, was not present at the reunion. He posted an Instagram video from the Catskill Mountains explaining that he was shooting a film and could not travel to Los Angeles for the show. > "I would have loved, loved, loved to have been there. Everyone looked so amazing. Julia’s tribute to my dear friend, who I miss every single day, was amazing and stunning, and I’m so proud of her."
Stiles responded in the comments, expressing appreciation for Krumholtz’s support. Other cast members, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Larisa Oleynik, Andrew Keegan, Gabrielle Union and Susan May Pratt, attended the event, indicating no reported conflict among the group.
