Fantasy Football Week 7 Wide Receiver Start-Sit Recommendations

Summary

Analyst advises starting Dontayvion Wicks and DeMario Douglas while recommending benching Keenan Allen and Xavier Worthy based on opponent defensive rankings and recent performance.

The latest fantasy football analysis highlights two wide receivers as viable Week 7 starters. Dontayvion Wicks of the Philadelphia Eagles is recommended as a flex option after the Cowboys have allowed 30.6 half-PPR points per game to receivers this season, the sixth-most in the league. The Eagles will be without starting quarterback Jalen Hurts, giving rookie Tanner McKee increased passing volume that could benefit Wicks, who ranks 31st among eligible receivers.

DeMario Douglas of the New England Patriots is also slated as a start after posting seven receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown against the New York Jets. Chicago has yielded 26.9 half-PPR points per game to receivers, rising to 31.1 over the last three weeks, creating a favorable matchup for Douglas, who is positioned as the Patriots’ WR32.

Conversely, the analysis advises sitting Keenan Allen of the Indianapolis Colts and Xavier Worthy of the Kansas City Chiefs. Minnesota, a defensively strong team that allows only 22.0 half-PPR points per game to receivers, will host Allen, limiting his upside despite a recent season-high performance. Seattle’s defense, which concedes just 18.7 half-PPR points per game, presents a tough environment for Worthy, who has not exceeded 15 PPR points in a game this season.

"They told me all week it’s going to be for me, and I’ve got to step up for the receiver room," Worthy said after his best outing of the season.

The analyst notes that while Allen appears in 22% of Yahoo starting lineups and Worthy in 35%, the defensive matchups and recent target shares suggest benching them in favor of other options.
