First iPhone Duo Unboxing Video Surfaces Ahead of Launch
An early unboxing video of the iPhone Duo has appeared online, offering the first visual look at the device before its scheduled launch on October 23.
An unboxing video of the iPhone Duo has been posted online, showing the device's packaging and flat form factor ahead of its scheduled launch on October 23. The video, shared by a person who obtained the phone before the public release, demonstrates that the Duo ships flat rather than folded and is packaged similarly to other iPhone models.
Media outlets have already published initial impressions from hands-on testing, but this is the first visual presentation from outside the press. Apple plans to release formal reviews as early as tomorrow. While the iPhone Duo will be available for purchase on launch day, units ordered through Apple’s online store are not expected to arrive until January 25. The company has not confirmed whether retail stores will carry the device for walk-in customers on launch day.
Apple’s website advises shoppers to check back for in-store availability on October 24, and some retail employees have reportedly been instructed to inform customers that launch-day stock may be limited. In Japan, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates, the iPhone Duo is listed as available only to customers with a pickup reservation.
