Report Links RJ Mitte's Fiancée's Relocation to Strain in Relationship Before His Death
According to a TMZ report, RJ Mitte's fiancée moved to Georgia for work in December 2025, which the outlet says contributed to marital tension preceding Mitte's suicide on Oct. 12, 2025.
RJ Mitte and his fiancée, Kennedy Suarez, lived together in Brownsville, Texas until Suarez relocated to the Atlanta area for a job in December 2025, according to a TMZ report. The move was described as a remote position, but Suarez reportedly did not plan to return to Texas full-time, while Mitte was unwilling to relocate.
A source told the outlet that the couple’s relationship had been under strain since August 2025, noting that Suarez sometimes chose not to wear her engagement ring, citing concerns about robbery. The source said these issues "significantly" contributed to Mitte’s emotional decline in the weeks before his death.
Mitte’s mother, Dyna, said a friend had told her son something that deeply hurt him and suggested the suicide may have been a spur-of-the-moment decision. She added that the family wished they had encouraged him to seek therapy.
Another source, speaking exclusively to Page Six, said Mitte appeared optimistic after his engagement in 2025, describing him as "a beautiful, kind person" who was enthusiastic about his move to Texas for a new opportunity outside Hollywood. The source said he seemed happy and busy with his work in the state.
Mitte, best known for playing Walter "Flynn" White Jr. on "Breaking Bad," gave his last public interview on Oct. 5 on "The Joe Vulpis Podcast," where he said he intended to keep auditioning and "just keep pushing forward."
The report does not provide official statements from law enforcement or medical professionals regarding the cause of death.
