Report links fiancée's relocation to strain RJ Mitte's relationship before his death

Summary

According to a TMZ report, RJ Mitte's fiancée moved from Texas to Georgia in December 2025, which reportedly added tension to their relationship prior to his suicide on Oct. 12, 2025.

RJ Mitte’s relationship with his fiancée, Kennedy Suarez, reportedly became strained after she left their home in Brownsville, Texas, and moved to the Atlanta area for work in December 2025. Although the job was described as remote, Suarez did not return to Texas full-time, and Mitte chose not to relocate.

A source told TMZ that the couple’s difficulties began in August 2025, noting that Suarez sometimes removed her engagement ring, citing concerns about robbery. The source said these issues "significantly" contributed to Mitte’s emotional decline in the weeks before his death.

Mitte’s mother, Dyna, described finding her son deceased and said a friend had said something that deeply hurt him. She suggested the suicide may have been a spur-of-the-moment decision and expressed regret that she did not intervene more forcefully, saying, "We all go through heartbreak in our life and we all deal with it differently."

An insider who spoke to Page Six said Mitte appeared optimistic after his 2025 engagement, describing him as "a beautiful, kind person" who was excited about a new opportunity outside Hollywood in Texas. The source added that he seemed happy and busy with his projects.

Mitte, best known for playing Walter “Flynn” White Jr. on “Breaking Bad,” gave his last public interview on Oct. 5 on The Joe Vulpis Podcast, saying he intended to keep auditioning and "keep living the dream," while acknowledging that "every dream could be a nightmare, too."
