Terry McLaurin exits Monday Night Football game with knee injury
Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin was carted off with a knee injury early in the Monday Night Football matchup against the San Francisco 49ers and did not return.
Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin was taken off the field in an air cast after sustaining a knee injury late in the first quarter of the team's Week 6 Monday Night Football game against the San Francisco 49ers. The 31-year-old, who leads the Commanders with 230 receiving yards this season, was unable to walk to the sideline after clutching his knee while running a route and was ruled out for the remainder of the contest.
Head coach Dan Quinn said there was no update on McLaurin's condition but noted that "the concern is that it could be significant" and added, "> There's fear."
McLaurin, a third-round pick in 2019, missed one game earlier in the season due to a hamstring injury but has been a consistent contributor, including a 27-yard reception early in Monday's game. His injury adds to a series of setbacks for Washington, which has also dealt with absences from quarterback Jayden Daniels (elbow), offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil (triceps), and other players such as Marcus Mariota, Stefon Diggs, Sam Cosmi, Chig Okonkwo and running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt, who was placed on injured reserve this week.
