Broncos coach Sean Payton says he has no plans to bench quarterback Bo Nix
Sean Payton reaffirmed his confidence in Bo Nix, rejecting media calls for a quarterback change ahead of the Broncos' next game.
Broncos head coach Sean Payton told reporters on Monday that he has not considered replacing quarterback Bo Nix following the team's overtime victory over the Seattle Seahawks. He said the focus remains on overall team improvement, including offensive line play and balanced offensive efficiency, rather than making a quarterback change. Payton added that the coaching staff discussed the win and identified areas for growth, emphasizing that the team's attention is now on preparing for the upcoming matchup against Arizona.
When asked whether he follows media commentary about Nix, Payton said he is concentrating on the next day's preparations and did not address specific remarks made by Prime Video analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Fitzpatrick, who described Nix's performance as subpar, is expected to provide further analysis when the Broncos meet the Pittsburgh Steelers on Black Friday, a game that will be broadcast on Prime Video.
