Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams led the Bears to a 31-23 win over Atlanta, while the Los Angeles Rams lost 18-16 to Arizona, and the Houston Texans secured a 34-31 victory in London.
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams returned to the lineup on Sunday after missing two games with a hamstring injury. He completed 30 of 36 passes for 305 yards and a touchdown, helping Chicago defeat the Atlanta Falcons 31-23. NFL Next Gen Stats showed Williams completed all 24 passes thrown from a clean pocket, a mark not achieved since 2018. The Bears improved to 4-2 and will play their next three games in primetime.
The Los Angeles Rams, now 2-4, lost 18-16 at home to the Arizona Cardinals, dropping to last place in the NFC West. After a late drive tied the game, Rams punter Ethan Evans stepped in as kicker and converted a point-after to give Los Angeles a one-point lead. A penalty for unnecessary roughness gave Arizona favorable field position, and kicker Chad Ryland hit a 43-yard field goal to win the game. The Rams have recorded only one win at SoFi Stadium this season.
In London, the Houston Texans beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 34-31. Quarterbacks C.J. Stroud and Trevor Lawrence combined for 618 yards, seven touchdowns and two interceptions. Stroud posted a 96.9 passer rating. After Jacksonville rallied late, the Texans responded with a 49-yard field goal by Ka’imi Fairbairn as time expired, giving Houston its second win of the season and moving the team to 2-4.
The Tennessee Titans earned their first victory, defeating the Indianapolis Colts 26-20. Tennessee scored all of its points in the final 30 minutes, while Indianapolis committed multiple turnovers, including two interceptions by Daniel Jones and a fumble by Jonathan Taylor.
