Apple's latest iPhone 17 series has seen a strong start, with initial orders surpassing those of the previous iPhone 16 lineup, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. He attributes this to higher production volumes and extended shipping times, indicating increased pre-order demand. The iPhone 17 Pro Max stands out, with its production volume in the third quarter approximately 60% higher than that of the iPhone 16 Pro Max during the same period last year, yet shipping times remain similar. Kuo also notes that the iPhone Air's day-one availability may suggest Apple overestimated demand for this new model. However, he cautions that, given its novelty, it would be more objective to observe demand trends after the initial sales period.
