Holdout juror maintains conviction in Lindsay Clancy mistrial

Summary

Juror Michael Desronvil told Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany he stands by his vote to find Lindsay Clancy criminally responsible for the deaths of her three children, despite pressure from the other jurors and ongoing legal challenges.

In his first televised interview since the mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy case, lone holdout juror Michael Desronvil said he continues to support his decision to convict the mother of three children. Desronvil told Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany that he had not been aware of the case before jury selection and was surprised by its national attention. He cited a favorite Bible passage, Psalm 1, as a source of personal guidance during the deliberations.

Desronvil described the victims as "the Three Angels" and recounted details about each child, noting that Dawson, 3, wanted to be a firefighter, while Cora, 5, reminded him of his own daughter because of their shared age and favorite color. He said he used his cellphone only during breaks, not while the jury was deliberating.

The juror claimed that journalists visited his home after the trial, alleging that they examined his mail and looked through his windows. He said surveillance footage confirmed these actions but denied receiving any physical threats.

Defense attorney Kevin Reddington has asked the court to preserve juror records, including questionnaires, hallway surveillance video, and cellphone sign-in sheets, and specifically requested Desronvil’s phone records for the deliberation days. Reddington previously accused Desronvil of lying under oath, a charge the juror rejected, stating, "> I answered everything truthfully."

Desronvil also addressed past personal allegations, describing a 2021 domestic incident as "blown out of proportion" and noting that no charges remained. He said he would consider serving on a jury again, despite the scrutiny he faced, because he feels a higher purpose.

He said the prosecution’s presentation, including a 911 call made by the children’s father after the tragedy, convinced him that Clancy had acted methodically, rejecting the defense’s argument of postpartum psychosis.

The interview will be rebroadcast on Fox News’ "Outnumbered" program.
