Actor Keegan Allen Recovering After Armed Robbery in Los Angeles
Keegan Allen, 37, is receiving medical care following an armed robbery outside a Los Angeles grocery store, during which he was struck and his watch was taken.
Actor Keegan Allen posted on Instagram that he is recovering after an incident in which two masked men approached him outside a high-end grocery store on Santa Monica Boulevard, pointed a gun and a knife at him, and stole his watch. The assault left him with a head wound that required stitches above his left eyebrow.
Allen thanked supporters, law-enforcement officials and medical staff, saying he was “on the mend” and expressing gratitude for the messages he received. He also shared images from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, acknowledging the care he received from doctors, nurses and security personnel.
Security footage released by the actor shows one suspect striking him in the head with a firearm while the other holds a knife. Both suspects fled the scene after taking the watch but leaving a bracelet and ring behind.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a 9 p.m. call at 8445 Santa Monica Boulevard, classifying the incident as a robbery. A department spokesperson confirmed that the victim reported being approached by two men in black clothing, with one pointing a silver handgun and the other a knife, demanding his watch and bracelet.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities seek to identify the suspects.
