Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old from Utah, has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. The arrest followed a tip from Robinson's father, who recognized his son in images released by authorities. Robinson confessed to the shooting during a conversation with his father, who then persuaded him to surrender. The suspect is currently held without bail on charges including aggravated murder. Authorities have not yet established a clear motive but noted that Robinson had expressed opposition to Kirk's views and had become more politically active in recent years. Investigations revealed that bullet casings found near the scene contained anti-fascist messages, and messages from Robinson's Discord account discussed plans involving a rifle. Robinson is expected to face formal charges and make his first court appearance on Tuesday.
