Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker undergoes surgery for cubital tunnel syndrome

Summary

Travis Barker had surgery to treat a pinched nerve in his elbow after experiencing numbness in his hand and fingers following a recent concert, and expects to resume drumming in a few weeks.

Travis Barker, the 50-year-old drummer for Blink-182, disclosed that he underwent a cubital tunnel release procedure after experiencing numbness in his arm, hand and fingers since a show last month. In an Instagram Stories post on Oct. 7, he said a nerve test confirmed the need for surgery to address cubital tunnel syndrome, a condition caused by a pinched nerve at the elbow. Barker said he chose to have the operation promptly so he can continue playing drums for the long term and expects to be fully recovered within a few weeks. The post included a photo of him in a hospital gown beside his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, and their daughter, Alabama. Barker previously suffered a dislocated ring finger in February 2023, which required ligament repair surgery.
