Summary

Samsung has started distributing the stable One UI 9.0 (Android 17) update for the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra to carrier-locked devices in the U.S., expanding beyond its initial release in South Korea.

Samsung announced that the stable version of its One UI 9.0 software, based on Android 17, is now being rolled out to the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra in the United States. The update follows an earlier release that was limited to South Korea.

The first U.S. shipments apply to carrier-locked models. The Galaxy S25 Ultra update is approximately 3.87 GB in size and carries firmware version S938USQUCDZIF; the S25 and S25+ updates are expected to be similar in size and to use firmware versions ending in DZIF.

One UI 9.0 adds new customization options for the Quick Panel, upgrades to Samsung DeX and Samsung Notes, and includes additional accessibility enhancements compared with the previous One UI 8.5.

"One UI 9.0 offers more customization options for Quick Panel, upgraded Samsung DeX and Samsung Notes, and enhancements to accessibility features," the company said in its product description.
