President Trump announces federal Super Intelligence Force to coordinate AI efforts

Summary

President Donald Trump said a new federal Super Intelligence Force will be created to coordinate government work on artificial intelligence, reporting directly to the White House.

President Donald Trump announced on Sunday the establishment of a federal "Super Intelligence Force" (SIF) to coordinate government activities related to artificial intelligence technology. In a post on his social media platform, Trump said the force will work with consumers, public-interest and religious groups, critical infrastructure providers and technology companies.

"The Super Intelligence Force is tasked with coordinating the effort of the Federal Government to ensure that America continues to lead the World in Super Intelligence," he wrote. The initiative will be overseen by senior administration officials and will report directly to the president and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles. Trump also noted that the administration recently renamed artificial intelligence as "Super Intelligence" following a summit with technology leaders at the White House. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg responded on X, calling the summit a "positive step" and saying leaders of major American labs had agreed to implement internal controls and multiple layers of audits and reviews.
