Apple may announce October 13 product launch, timing of event still uncertain
Apple is expected to reveal a smart home hub, a new HomePod mini, and an AI-powered Apple TV 4K on October 13, with the event possibly announced between October 5 and 7.
Apple is slated to unveil a long-rumored smart home hub, an updated HomePod mini and a Siri AI-enabled Apple TV 4K on Tuesday, October 13, according to Bloomberg. The company has not confirmed whether it will host a formal event for the launch. Based on its past October announcements, Apple could announce the event as early as Monday, October 5, but likely no later than Wednesday, October 7.
Since 2010, Apple has held an October event only ten times, most recently on October 30, 2023, for a Halloween-themed "Scary Fast" presentation. The timing of those events has varied, and announcements have been made anywhere from a few days to several weeks in advance.
Analysts note that Apple also plans to introduce an OLED iPad mini, new iMac models and several MacBook Pro variants, including touchscreen versions, in 2026. It remains unclear whether those products will be part of the October 13 launch, presented at a separate event, or announced via press releases.
In recent years, Apple has sometimes used press releases rather than live events for October product announcements, such as the three-day Mac rollout in October 2024 and the M5 chip and related devices unveiled in October 2025 without a dedicated event.
