Apple Unveils AirPods Pro 3 with Enhanced Features

Summary

Apple introduces AirPods Pro 3, featuring improved noise cancellation, live translation, and heart rate monitoring.

Apple has announced the AirPods Pro 3, introducing significant upgrades over previous models. The new earbuds offer twice the active noise cancellation effectiveness compared to the AirPods Pro 2, achieved through advanced microphones and computational audio, along with foam-infused ear tips that enhance passive noise isolation.

A notable addition is the Live Translation feature, enabling real-time conversational translation via a connected iPhone. This function utilizes the Translate app and can be activated through various methods, including pressing and holding both AirPods or using Siri.

The AirPods Pro 3 also incorporate heart rate monitoring using a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor, providing users with fitness tracking capabilities during workouts. Heart rate data is accessible through the Fitness app, offering insights into exercise intensity and overall health.

Design enhancements include a more ergonomic fit, informed by extensive ear scans, and five sizes of ear tips to accommodate a wider range of users. The earbuds are IP57-rated for water and dust resistance, ensuring durability during various activities.

Battery life has been extended, offering up to eight hours of listening time with active noise cancellation enabled, and up to ten hours in transparency mode. The charging case provides additional charges, totaling over 30 hours of listening time.

The AirPods Pro 3 are priced at $249 and will be available starting September 19, 2025.
