Travis Kelce defends Taylor Swift's new song amid mixed reviews
Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce praised his wife Taylor Swift's new track "Cleveland!" on his podcast, while the song has drawn criticism from some fans and critics.
Taylor Swift's deluxe edition of The Life of a Showgirl, released on September 25, includes a track called "Cleveland!" that has sparked a divided response. Critics and some fans have described the song unfavorably, while others, including Swift's husband Travis Kelce, have expressed enthusiasm.
On the September 30 episode of the New Heights podcast, which Kelce co-hosts with his brother Jason, he said the song is "rocking right now" and thanked Swift for highlighting Cleveland. Jason Kelce added that he and his wife Kylie have been playing the track repeatedly, calling it "incredible" and saying it makes them feel good.
According to a source, Swift is sensitive to the criticism, feeling personal about negative feedback on her work. The source said Kelce has been supportive, reminding her that she cannot please everyone and that she does not need to prove herself.
"Cleveland is rocking right now!" Keltr said on the podcast.
"Shout out to Tay Tay for making that song, just giving the city a little more life," he added.
The song continues to generate discussion as fans and critics weigh in on Swift's latest release.
