Actor Chad Lowe and producer Kim Painter confirmed the death of their 13-year-old daughter Fiona, asking for privacy and offering a mental-health resource.
Actor Chad Lowe and his wife, producer Kim Painter, announced that their 13-year-old daughter Fiona Lowe has died, according to a family statement released to ABC News. The statement described Fiona as a loving, smart and creative girl who enjoyed dancing and was close to her sisters. No cause of death was disclosed.
The family requested prayers and privacy and directed anyone experiencing mental-health difficulties to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Lowe, who is the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe, and Painter have been married for 16 years and have three children.
Lowe previously posted on Instagram to celebrate Fiona’s 13th birthday and later praised his daughters’ resilience after the family’s home was destroyed in a fire in the Pacific Palisades area.
The family’s statement also included a reminder that free, confidential mental-health assistance is available 24/7 by calling or texting 988.
