Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 to receive Siri Recap and Live Rewind updates later this year

Apple said the Series 12 and Ultra 4 smartwatches will receive two new capabilities as part of the upcoming watchOS 27 rollout. The first, called Siri Recap, will passively record conversational snippets throughout the day and generate brief summaries that users can review later; summaries are set to delete automatically after seven days unless saved. > "Siri Recap ambiently takes notes on your conversations throughout your day and creates high-level Apple Intelligence–generated summaries that you can use later to jog your memory," Apple explained. The second feature, Live Rewind, lets users retrieve the last 15 seconds of spoken content by double-pressing the Digital Crown, displaying a text snippet that can be queried with Siri or saved in the Siri app. > "Live Rewind recalls what was just said in the last 15 seconds by showing a text snippet on your Apple Watch when you double-press the Digital Crown," Apple said. Apple noted that both features include privacy safeguards detailed in its documentation. The updates are expected to arrive later in the year.
