Actor Chad Lowe recalls last red carpet outing with daughter Fiona before her death

Actor Chad Lowe and his wife Kim Painter attended the February 4, 2023 red-carpet premiere of Marvel’s “Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur” in Burbank, California, with their three daughters, 17-year-old Mabel, 13-year-old Fiona and 10-year-old Nixie. The family was photographed smiling together, with Mabel leaning on her father and the younger sisters posing beside their mother.
Lowe, who often shares family moments on social media, posted photos from a later autumn trip to Tennessee and marked Fiona’s 13th birthday with a tribute on Instagram.
The family announced Fiona’s death in a statement to the press, describing her as a loving, creative girl who enjoyed dancing and was deeply cherished by her sisters and parents. The statement asked for prayers and privacy and included a reminder to contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline for mental-health support.
Fiona’s school also notified parents of a student’s death without naming her.
"It takes what I’ve known intellectually about women and all of equality and the glass ceiling that’s there, and how it’s a misogynistic world in a lot of ways," Lowe said on a recent podcast, adding that being a father to three daughters influences his perspective.
