DWTS Yacht Rock Night sees top scores and first elimination

Summary

Olympian Amber Glenn and partner Pasha Pashkov earned perfect scores on Yacht Rock Night, while Taylor Hanson and pro Britt Stewart were the first couple eliminated.

Olympian Amber Glenn opened the September 29 episode of "Dancing With the Stars" with a foxtrot to Toto’s “Hold the Line,” partnered with professional dancer Pasha Pashkov. Despite Pashkov sustaining a nose injury during rehearsals, the pair received the maximum 8 points from each judge—Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.

"And the ice queen does it again, wow! What a way to start the show. You turned this ballroom into your own personal ice rink. Just gliding across that floor effortlessly, so exquisite. Absolutely beautiful," Hough praised.

Bachelor Nation contestant Tyler Cameron performed later with professional Sharna Burgess, acknowledging a timing issue that led to a combined judges’ score of 17 out of 30.

After a series of performances, the show announced its first elimination: musician Taylor Hanson and professional Britt Stewart. Hanson expressed gratitude for the experience, and Stewart thanked him for their time together.

"This has been everything. This has been incredible. She's showed me things I didn't think was possible and I'm so grateful for this time," Hanson said, to which Stewart replied, "Taylor, I am so grateful that I now have you in my life. Thank you so much for everything. You are amazing."

"Dancing With the Stars" continues to air on ABC and Disney+ on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
