Analyst predicts Broncos upset Rams and Bills dominate Chargers in Week 3
Jordan Dajani outlines his Week 3 NFL picks, favoring the Houston Texans, Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles to cover their spreads.
Jordan Dajani, writing for CBS Sports, presented his Week 3 NFL betting selections after a mixed performance in the first two weeks, where his picks went 7-9 against the spread and 2-3 on straight bets. He highlighted a 5-5 record on his top five ATS picks and an overall 15-17 ATS record.
For the Sunday 1 p.m. matchup, Dajani backs the Houston Texans at -1.5 against the Indianapolis Colts, noting the Texans’ recent 13-1 straight-up record in road divisional games despite a 0-2 start and a challenging opening schedule. He cited the Colts’ historically poor defense, which has allowed 500 yards in each of their first two games, as a key factor.
He favors the Buffalo Bills by 7 points over the Los Angeles Chargers, arguing that the Chargers’ defense has struggled to generate pressure and that the Bills entered the game with a week of preparation and strong fan support.
In the Detroit Lions versus New York Jets game, Dajani picks the Lions to win by 6.5 points, pointing to the Lions’ home-field advantage and recent offensive production from players such as Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Against the Los Angeles Rams, Dajani predicts a Broncos upset, taking the Broncos +2.5. He referenced Denver’s improved second-week performance, including a comeback win over Jacksonville, and the Rams’ uncertain health situation at wide receiver Puka Nacua.
For the Monday night contest, he selects the Philadelphia Eagles to cover a 4.5-point spread at Chicago, emphasizing Jalen Hurts’ recent efficiency and the Bears’ reliance on a rookie quarterback, Case Keenum.
"The Texans have a 13-1 straight-up record and 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 road divisional games," Dajani said.
"The Bills have a long week to prepare and a packed house after a successful home opener," he added.
"The Lions are 11-1 straight-up and 10-2 ATS in their last 12 home games following a loss," Dajani noted.
"The Broncos have shown resilience, rallying from a 10-point deficit to beat the Jaguars," he observed.
"The Eagles are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 road games after a win," Dajani concluded.
These selections reflect Dajani’s assessment of recent performance trends, injury reports, and historical betting data.
