Week 4 College Football Top-25 Matchups Draw Expert Picks and Betting Odds

Saturday’s slate features six top-25 college football games, the most in a single week in three years, according to analysts. The matchups include four SEC contests, two Big Ten games and a Pacific-coast showdown.

No. 23 Texas A&M travels to No. 10 LSU in a conference clash that could leave one team winless in SEC play after the game. Analysts note that no team has ever started 0-2 in conference play and still reached the College Football Playoff.

No. 1 Texas meets No. 14 Tennessee at noon Eastern. The game pits Arch Manning, who led Texas to a comeback against Ohio State, against true-freshman Tennessee quarterback Faizon Brandon, a potential breakout performer.

In the SEC, No. 4 Ole Miss visits No. 21 Florida. Ole Miss coach Pete Golding has emphasized his team’s readiness, while Florida’s defense has shown vulnerabilities against a relatively easy schedule.

No. 24 Mississippi State faces No. 19 Missouri, with quarterback Kamario Taylor looking to extend the Bulldogs’ 4-0 start before a later matchup with No. 8 Alabama.

The Big Ten sees No. 17 Iowa at No. 18 Michigan, a game that could shift the CFP peripheral teams’ positioning. Iowa’s running back Kamari Moulton and receiver Tony Diaz are highlighted as key playmakers.

On the West Coast, No. 20 Oregon travels to No. 12 USC. Oregon, after a loss to Oklahoma State, seeks to avoid a second defeat, while USC aims to capitalize on home-field advantage.

Betting analysts provided the following recommendations:

"Pick: Under 55.5 points for Texas-Tennessee" – analyst comment. "Pick: Over 58.5 points for Florida-Ole Miss" – Tom Fornelli. "Pick: Iowa straight-up (+178)" – Shehan Jeyarajah.
