Presley Gerber cremated; death still under investigation
The death certificate for Cindy Crawford’s son confirms he was cremated and that his death, ruled a suspected overdose, remains under investigation.
Presley Gerber, 27, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, was cremated after his death was ruled a suspected overdose at a rehabilitation facility in Santa Monica, California, on Sept. 20. The death certificate indicates that the case is still pending investigation and that his ashes will be kept at his parents’ home in Malibu.
A family representative told Entertainment Weekly that the family is requesting privacy during this difficult period. The Gerbers, who also include model Kaia Gerber, are planning a funeral within the next week.
Presley began modeling at age 15 with IMG and worked for brands such as Tommy Hilfiger and Dolce & Gabbana. He previously faced a DUI charge in 2019, receiving probation and community service. In a 2023 interview, he said he wanted to help others struggling with depression and substance abuse.
"That's what I really want to do — help people get out of whether you're depressed [or] struggling with something that's having a negative effect on your body," Gerber said in the interview.
Following his death, former girlfriend Charlotte D'Alessio posted tribute messages on social media, expressing love and grief for Gerber.
