Presley Gerber, son of Cindy Crawford, cremated after death at rehab center
Presley Gerber, 27, was cremated at Rose Family Funeral Home days after dying of a suspected overdose while in a Santa Monica sober-living facility; his parents will keep his ashes at their Malibu home.
Presley Gerber, the 27-year-old son of model Cindy Crawford and entrepreneur Rande Gerger, was cremated at Rose Family Funeral Home in Santa Monica, according to his death certificate. The family plans to keep his ashes at their residence in Malibu, California. The cause of death has not been officially released, but emergency services responded to a 911 call reporting cardiac arrest and a suspected overdose at the sober-living home where Gerber had recently checked in for treatment of substance addiction and mental-health concerns.
Gerber had previously spoken publicly about his struggles with addiction and mental health, including a brief social-media hiatus announced in November. Sources close to him described him as appearing “off” in the weeks before his death and noted ongoing personal challenges. He is survived by his younger sister, model Kaia Gerber, who was reportedly very close to him. Crawford and Gerber have not issued public statements about the cremation, reiterating a prior request for privacy.
"He had demons. Not all related to being a celebrity kid," a source said.
"She is heartbroken. They were like best friends," another insider added.
