Summary

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu used his UN speech to warn the world about the Iranian regime, denounce radical leftist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, and call out Qatar and Turkey for supporting terrorism.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday, issuing a powerful warning that Iran’s oppressive regime will eventually be overthrown by the will of its people. He declared, 'It’s only a matter of time that, in Iran, something incredible will happen: the power of the people will overcome the people in power,' expressing hope that the Iranian people will soon be liberated from tyranny.

Netanyahu also took aim at New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a far-left politician whose anti-Israel rhetoric has emboldened antisemitism and made Jews feel unsafe in their own city. Netanyahu condemned Mamdani for falsely accusing Israel of genocide and referenced disturbing social-media posts by Mamdani’s wife that praised the October 7 terrorist attack. He also revealed that Mamdani had threatened to have him arrested if he attended the 2026 UN session, highlighting the dangerous extremism infiltrating American cities.

The Prime Minister further exposed Qatar and Turkey for their roles in spreading anti-Israel propaganda and supporting groups linked to Hamas. He criticized Qatar’s close ties with the terrorist organization and called out Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his human-rights abuses and expansionist ambitions, which threaten regional stability.

In a display of disrespect, Iranian representatives left a portrait of the terrorist Qassem Soleimani in the chamber and walked out for the duration of Netanyahu’s speech, refusing to face the truth about their regime’s crimes.
