Justin Sun Challenges WLFI Token Freeze Amid Market Volatility
Tron founder Justin Sun disputes the freezing of his WLFI tokens by World Liberty Financial, citing concerns over investor rights and market confidence.
Tron founder Justin Sun has publicly contested the freezing of his WLFI tokens by World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a cryptocurrency project associated with the Trump family. Sun, an early investor in WLFI, reported that his tokens were unexpectedly frozen, preventing him from accessing or transferring them. He expressed that such actions violate investor rights and could undermine confidence in the project.
The freeze occurred after blockchain data revealed that a wallet linked to Sun transferred approximately $9 million worth of WLFI tokens to an exchange. In response, WLFI blacklisted the address, effectively immobilizing the tokens. Sun denied any wrongdoing, stating that the transfers were routine deposit tests and not intended for sale.
WLFI has not publicly commented on the matter. The incident has sparked debate within the cryptocurrency community regarding the principles of decentralization and the rights of investors.
