A total lunar eclipse, often referred to as a 'blood moon,' is set to occur on the night of September 7–8, 2025. This celestial event will be visible across Asia, Australia, Africa, and parts of Europe. During the eclipse, the moon will pass through Earth's shadow, taking on a reddish hue due to the scattering of sunlight through Earth's atmosphere. The totality phase, when the moon is completely immersed in Earth's shadow, will last approximately 82 minutes.

In Spain, the eclipse will begin with the penumbral phase at 17:28 CEST, followed by the partial phase at 18:27 CEST. The totality phase will start at 19:30 CEST, reaching its maximum at 20:11 CEST, and concluding at 20:52 CEST. The partial phase will end at 21:56 CEST, with the entire event concluding at 22:55 CEST.

For those unable to view the eclipse in person, several organizations are offering free online livestreams. The Virtual Telescope Project will provide a live feed from its robotic telescopes in Manciano, Italy, starting at 17:45 GMT on September 7. Additionally, Time and Date will host a livestream featuring live views from Cyprus, beginning at 16:00 GMT on the same day.

Observers are advised to choose locations with clear skies and minimal light pollution to enhance the viewing experience. No special equipment is required to observe the eclipse, though binoculars or telescopes can provide a more detailed view.

This will be the final total lunar eclipse of 2025, offering a unique opportunity for skywatchers to witness this astronomical phenomenon.
