Internet personality known as Clavicular charged with rape in Massachusetts

Summary

The 20-year-old influencer, whose real name is Braden Peters, faces one count each of rape, drugging for sexual intercourse and providing alcohol to a minor, with an arraignment set for Oct. 14.

A Massachusetts court has filed charges against 20-year-old internet figure Braden Peters, who posts under the name Clavicular. The indictment includes one count of rape, one count of drugging someone for sexual intercourse and one count of supplying liquor to a person under 21, stemming from an alleged incident on May 23, 2025. The charges were entered on Sept. 8 and an arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 14.

A spokesperson for Peters, Mitchell Jackson, said the media report was "exaggerating" and that his client had not yet been served with an arrest warrant. No attorney for Peters was listed in the online court records.

Peters has attracted attention online for promoting the "looksmaxxing" trend, which involves extreme measures to alter physical appearance. He has previously faced legal issues, including a 2024 lawsuit filed by a teenage influencer in Florida alleging battery after an alleged intoxicated sexual encounter, and a 2024 Florida case in which he and another individual pleaded no contest to unlawful firearm discharge.

Authorities have not indicated whether the current charges are linked to the earlier civil lawsuit. Peters' legal representative said he denies the allegations and will "vigorously defend" himself.
