Apple agrees $250 million settlement over Siri AI delays, eligible iPhone buyers may receive up to $95

Summary

Apple will pay up to $95 per eligible iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max or iPhone 16 purchased between June 2024 and March 2025 as part of a $250 million class-action settlement over alleged false advertising of Siri AI features.

Apple has reached a $250 million settlement to resolve a class-action lawsuit claiming the company misled consumers about the availability of advanced Siri and AI features on its newest iPhones. The settlement covers iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 16 models bought in the United States between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. Eligible claimants who submit a valid form by Dec. 21, 2026, can receive a cash payment of $25 per device, with the amount potentially rising to a maximum of $95 depending on the total number of valid claims.

"Customers must acknowledge that they expected certain Siri Apple Intelligence features at the time of purchase, which they did not receive," the settlement documents state.

Only the original purchaser of an eligible device may file a claim; resale purchases are excluded, though businesses that bought devices directly are allowed to submit claims. Claim forms must include current contact details and proof of purchase. Payments will be issued by check after the settlement receives final court approval, which is scheduled for a hearing on Feb. 24, 2027, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. The court will assess whether the settlement is fair, reasonable and adequate, and may consider any objections before confirming the payout schedule.
